How To Fix Plugin Not Showing up in DAW!

If you’ve installed your plugin but it’s not appearing in your DAW’s plugin list, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check the Plugin Manager in Your DAW

  • Logic Pro:
    • Go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Plug-in Manager.
    • Look for “Gospel Producers” or your plugin’s name in the list.
    • If it’s missing, unchecked, or not verified, this may indicate an issue with installation or authorization.
    • Try checking the “Use” box, and if it’s not verified or appears corrupted, reinstall the plugin.
  • Other DAWs (e.g., Studio One, Pro Tools):
    • Each DAW has its own plugin manager or preferences menu. Make sure your plugin appears and is enabled.

2.

For Ableton Live Users

  • Go to Preferences > Plug-Ins.
  • Ensure “Audio Units” and/or “VST2/VST3” are enabled.
  • If you use a custom VST folder, check that Ableton is set to scan the correct folder where your plugin is installed (Browse to select your custom location).

3.

Check the Plugin Installation Location

  • By default, our plugin installers often install to your user library folder, not the main system library.
  • System Library Path:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins (contains “Components”, “VST”, “VST3” folders)
  • User Library Path (Hidden by default):
In Finder, select Go > hold Option > select Library > Audio > Plug-Ins
You may find your plugin (e.g., Peculiar Sounds, Loop Elements) in the user library’s “Components” or “VST3” folder

4.

Move Plugins to the Main System Library

  • If your DAW doesn’t read plugins from the user library, copy the plugin files (e.g., .component or .vst3) from the user library to the corresponding folder in the main system library:
    • Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > [Component/VST3]
  • Restart your DAW and rescan for plugins.

5.

Still Not Working?

  • Double-check you’re running the latest version of your DAW and that it supports the plugin format (AU, VST3, etc).
  • Try reinstalling the plugin.
  • Make sure your DAW is scanning the correct folders (see above).

6.
